In the last days of May, at the Pho Rang lake technical infrastructure project construction site in Bao Yen commune, many machines, vehicles and dozens of workers were mobilized to continuously construct key items.
The project has a total investment of 126.6 billion VND, a implemented area of about 12.51ha, of which the lake bed area is about 8.31ha.

The project includes items such as protective embankments around the lake, lake renovation, canal separation, regulating culverts, traffic roads around the lake and many other auxiliary works. The project is implemented in the period 2023-2026.
According to the Bao Yen Commune Construction Investment Project Management Board, to date, many basic items have met the set progress. In which, the lake dredging work has reached over 70% of the volume; completed gravity stone walls at the beginning of the canal separating the flow and 539.5m of canal separating the flow.

Teams are focusing on constructing sloping embankments on both sides of the lake and traffic routes around the lake to keep up with the progress before the rainy and flood season.
Mr. Dao Duc Duy - Site Commander - said that the unit is mobilizing 5 excavators, 3 transport trucks and about 30 workers to deploy many different construction teams.
The separated canal item and left bank embankment are being urgently completed in June to ensure safety before the rainy season. However, the tilted right bank embankment is still facing site clearance issues, so it cannot be implemented yet. In addition, some items have arisen due to having to drill and break rocks on traffic routes, so the workload has increased," Mr. Duy said.

According to Mr. Duy, the construction unit is closely coordinating with the investor and local authorities to remove site obstacles, and at the same time, based on actual progress, continue to mobilize more machinery and equipment to accelerate construction.
Not only expecting to create an ecological landscape for the commune center, the project is also associated with population arrangement, land fund exploitation and urban embellishment.
However, the implementation process also affects the lives and production of some households in the planned area.

Mr. Vu Van Mien (resident of residential group 3A, Bao Yen commune) said that for many years, people in the planned area have faced difficulties in building and repairing houses as well as changing land use purposes.
People mainly live by agriculture, so when land is recovered, the biggest concern is the lack of production land and stable long-term income. We hope to be fully guaranteed our rights and have appropriate support policies to soon stabilize our lives," Mr. Mien shared.

Regarding site clearance work, Mr. Trinh Tien Duat - Vice Chairman of Bao Yen Commune People's Committee - informed that the locality is focusing on mobilizing households that still have problems to hand over the site soon to ensure project progress.
We request the contractor to focus machinery and manpower to construct key items before the rainy and flood season to ensure safety. Currently, the residential area project in Group 3 still has one household that has not handed over the site, the locality will continue to propagate and mobilize to remove obstacles in the near future," Mr. Duat said.
According to the plan, when completed, Pho Rang Lake will contribute to regulating water sources, reducing the risk of flooding, improving the ecological environment and creating a new face for the central area of Bao Yen commune in the direction of a "Bright - Green - Clean - Beautiful" urban area.
