On the morning of December 10, the 8th session of the 10th term Dong Nai Provincial People's Council approved a draft Resolution on the investment policy for the construction of Cat Lai Bridge and Long Hung Bridge (Dong Nai 2 Bridge) under the public-private partnership method.
Nearly VND18,300 billion to build Cat Lai bridge

The investor proposing the project is Construction Corporation No. 1 - JSC.
This is a group A project, a special-level project. The Cat Lai Bridge construction investment project has a starting point in Cat Lai ward, Ho Chi Minh City and an end point at the intersection with the Ben Luc - Long Thanh expressway.
In which, Cat Lai bridge and access road will be built with the scale of an urban main axis, designed speed of 80 km/h.
The total length of the project is more than 11.6 km. The construction period is from 2026 to 2029.
The expected land use demand is about 120 hectares, of which Dong Nai province is about 115.8 hectares and Ho Chi Minh City is about 4.2 hectares.


The expected type of PPP project contract is a construction - transfer (BT) contract. Expected payment to investors from public land auction revenue or public investment capital.
The form of investor selection is unified, applying the form of investor selection in special cases for the Cat Lai bridge project because these are urgent projects that need to be implemented to serve the exploitation of Long Thanh International Airport, connecting Ho Chi Minh City and developing the socio-economy of Dong Nai province.
About 11,495 billion VND to build Long Hung bridge (Dong Nai 2 bridge)

The Long Hung Bridge construction investment project (Dong Nai 2 Bridge) has a total estimated investment of about 11,495 billion VND.
This is a group A project, a special-level project.
The project starts at Long Phuoc ward (HCMC) and ends at the intersection with Bien Hoa - Vung Tau expressway.
The total length of the bridge and route is about 9.8 km. Of which, Long Hung Bridge (Dong Nai 2 Bridge) is about 3.5 km long, with a design speed of 80 km/h.
Located in Tam Phuoc ward, An Phuoc commune (Dong Nai province) and Long Phuoc ward (HCMC), the demand for land use is about 52.8 hectares in Dong Nai province.
The construction period is from 2026 to 2028.

The investor proposing the project is the Joint Venture of Construction Corporation No. 1 - JSC - CC1 Investment Joint Stock Company - Southern Infrastructure and Energy Joint Stock Company (CC1 Joint Venture).
Agree to apply the form of investor selection in special cases for the Long Hung bridge project (Dong Nai 2 bridge) because this is an urgent project that needs to be implemented soon to serve the exploitation of Long Thanh international airport, connecting with Ho Chi Minh City and developing the socio-economy of Dong Nai province.
According to the submission of the People's Committee of Dong Nai province, Ho Chi Minh City and Dong Nai province are two localities located in the key economic development region of the South, with a particularly important position, being the driving force for socio-economic development of the whole country; therefore, it requires the inter-regional infrastructure system to develop to keep up with and meet the development speed of the region.
Currently, the connection between Ho Chi Minh City and Dong Nai province is still limited, with frequent overload and traffic jams, greatly affecting the socio-economic development of the region.
Increasing investment in traffic routes connecting Ho Chi Minh City and Dong Nai province will solve the problem of traffic congestion and overload on National Highway 1.
