Dong Thap Electronic Information Portal reported that on the morning of September 17, Mr. Le Quoc Phong - Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the Provincial Steering Committee for Anti-Corruption, Wastefulness and Negativity chaired a conference to summarize the work of preventing and combating corruption, wastefulness and negativity during the 13th National Party Congress in the province.
The conference was attended by Director of the Department of Localities III, Central Internal Affairs Committee Tran Hoang Kiem.
For Dong Thap province, the work of preventing and combating corruption, waste and negativity has always been given close and synchronous attention and direction by Party committees and authorities at all levels, thereby achieving important results, contributing to maintaining political stability, creating a healthy investment and business environment, and also strengthening the people's trust in the Party and the State.
In the past term, the whole province issued more than 4,500 specialized leadership and direction documents, focusing on sensitive areas such as: land management and use, public investment, finance, budget, public asset procurement, bidding, auction, etc. In addition, the province also promoted inspection, supervision, inspection, investigation, prosecution, and trial.
Accordingly, the province has conducted 913 inspections; investigated, prosecuted, tried, enforced the sentence correctly and recovered assets with a total amount of more than 114 billion VND, reaching over 39%.
Director of the Department of Local Affairs III Tran Hoang Kiem suggested that Dong Thap overcome the remaining limitations, join hands to build a creative, honest, and action-oriented government to continue to develop rapidly and sustainably, worthy of the people's trust.
Entering the new term, Provincial Party Secretary Le Quoc Phong emphasized the general spirit of "no forbidden areas, no exceptions", but handling must be methodical, "right - accurate - complete", to both be strict and promote development, not to let waste prolong, and not to ignore violations.
Mr. Phong requested the Home Affairs sector to proactively grasp the situation, connect information and organize the implementation of legal discipline, strengthen people's trust; resolutely eliminate officials with corruption, waste, negativity, and innovation obstruction.
