The People's Committee of Bac Ninh province has just issued an official dispatch on registration to start the project of Construction of Hanoi University of Pharmacy - campus 2 to Hanoi University of Pharmacy.
Official Letter said that the project of building Hanoi University of Pharmacy - Facility 2 in Bac Ninh is one of the important projects to bring Hanoi University of Pharmacy to become a national key specialized university on a par with the region; At the same time, the project also shows the strategy of Bac Ninh province on incentives, attracting investment projects in the field of education and health contribution to socio -economic development as well as social security of the province.
Immediately after the project was approved, Bac Ninh province took the initiative and completed compensation and site clearance work so that the project could be implemented as soon as possible.
However, since the Land Allocation Decision (Decision No. 505/QD-UBND dated December 4, 2014 of the People's Committee of Bac Ninh province), the project has not yet been implemented, leading to waste of land resources, the risk of wasting capital to support site clearance and at the same time affecting the policies and incentives, attracting investment in the fields of education and health of Bac Ninh province.
With the expectation of the project to start in 2025, the People's Committee of Bac Ninh Province proposed the Hanoi University of Pharmacy to report to the Ministry of Health to direct the relevant agencies and units to accelerate the construction and construction progress in accordance with the commitment schedule with Bac Ninh province (expected to organize construction in the second quarter of 2025);
At the same time, registered with the Prime Minister to start the project on August 19, 2025 (simultaneously together with other projects throughout the country) on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam (2.9.1945 - 2.9.2025) in the spirit of the direction at the Prime Minister's 57/TTG dated 5.20.2025.
According to the reporter's investigation, the project to build Hanoi University of Pharmacy, campus 2, is located in Vo Cuong ward (Bac Ninh city), quite near the Hanoi - Bac Giang expressway (the southwestern intersection).
The project to build Hanoi University of Pharmacy - Facility 2 has a total investment of more than 1,350 billion VND. The project aims to meet the learning and living needs of about 5,000 students, preparing basic infrastructure to be able to expand scale in the future.
According to the Project to reorganize Bac Ninh province and Bac Giang province to establish the (new) Bac Ninh province, the plan to organize universities and colleges (under central agencies) located in the province has been clearly stated.
Accordingly, based on the plan, the new Bac Ninh province will continue to develop the two University Zones 1 and 2 to form a national and international training, scientific research and technology application center, with a total area of 1,115 hectares.
Recently, the People's Committee of Bac Ninh province also submitted a document to the Provincial People's Council on approving the policy of supporting the provincial budget to invest in the construction of Hanoi Medical University, Hanoi University of Natural Resources and Environment, Foreign Trade University, Training Facility - under Hanoi University of Science and Technology in Bac Ninh province.
Accordingly, the need for public investment support capital from the provincial budget for 3 universities and training institutions - under Hanoi University of Science and Technology in Bac Ninh province with an estimated value of about 720 billion VND.
