These days, the Ring Road 2.5 section Dam Hong - National Highway 1A is always submerged in a thick layer of dust and the noisy sound of machinery as the units strive to speed up the construction speed.

At the construction site, construction teams are simultaneously carrying out technical items such as drainage, power lines, and telecommunications lines.
The project has a total length of 1.3 km, with an investment capital of more than 1,300 billion VND, and is implemented under the form of a BT (build - transfer) contract. However, during the completion of the road, the lives of many households in the project area were disrupted.

Recorded along Ring Road 2.5, many stores have had to close due to sluggish business. The owner of the rental space said that many people opening restaurants and tea shops had to return the premises and leave elsewhere because they could not bear the rental costs and were deserted.

Ms. Tran Thi Thieng, owner of a small restaurant located near the construction site, said she rents the premises here for 12 million VND per month, not including electricity and water costs, but the number of customers coming to the restaurant is sparse. Lunch is the peak time to serve customers, but there are days when only a few people come to eat.
Ms. Thieng said that the reason for the lack of customers at the restaurant is that the entrance is under construction, making it difficult to travel. In addition, the dust from the construction site makes many diners afraid to visit the restaurant.

"I have considered returning the site many times, but still try to cling to the hope of recovering some capital. But if the situation had lasted like this, I would probably have to return the site, Ms. Thieng lamented.
Not only Ms. Thieng's shop, many other businesses are also in a "trouble". Along the road, a series of stores showed no signs of operation, with signs covering the road with dust.
Mr. Duong Van Hieu, the owner of a bicycle shop, shared: "Every day is dusty and noisy, customers are afraid to stop by. The shop is cleaned up to 3 or 4 times a day, but just one slice is covered with dust.

Households here said that they support the project with the expectation of a spacious, clean and more convenient traffic area, but are worried that the construction project will take a long time and they will have to adapt when the project is under construction, the construction site is in disarray right next to the residence.
Mr. Le Thanh Tung, Deputy Director of Hoang Mai - Hanoi Construction Investment Company Limited (the project implementation unit), said that so far the construction volume has reached more than 70%. The unit is mobilizing maximum machinery and human resources, striving to complete the entire project in the first quarter of 2026.
Faced with the construction situation affecting people's lives, investors have required contractors to strictly comply with safety regulations, water irrigation, and regular road washing to limit dust, while erecting barriers and warning signs at dangerous locations.

When completed, the Ring Road 2.5 will synchronously connect with the Kim Dong - Giai Phong underpass, helping to reduce traffic congestion, expand urban space in the South of the Capital, and complete the belt traffic network according to Hanoi's plan.
