The Tan Son Nhat airport traffic rescue project has cleared the ground

HCMC - The entire site of the Tran Quoc Hoan - Cong Hoa connecting road project has been cleared, helping to speed up the construction progress, completing on April 30, 2025.

According to the reporter's records, the handover and site clearance of the final section of the Tran Quoc Hoan - Cong Hoa connecting road project is currently almost completed.

According to the representative of the Compensation and Site Clearance Board of Tan Binh District, up to now, the entire site of package No. 13 (including the construction of roads, retaining walls, sidewalks, drainage, traffic organization at the end of the route and the expansion of Truong Chinh Street) has been handed over to the investor. The project passes through Tan Binh district, affecting 85 cases, including 68 households and 17 units and organizations, with a total land area recovered of more than 133,234 m2.

At the construction site, hundreds of workers along with equipment and machinery are speeding up the construction progress. Items such as roadbed rolling, construction of retaining walls, sidewalks, drainage and traffic organization at the intersection of Hoang Hoa Tham Street and the overpass slope of Terminal T3 are being urgently completed.

According to the Ho Chi Minh City Traffic Construction Investment Project Management Board (Traffic Board), the total progress of the entire project has reached about 95%. Some items have been completed and put into operation in stages, including: Tran Quoc Hoan - Phan Thuc Duyen underpass (completed on August 10, 2024), road and sidewalk on Thang Long Street (November 7, 2024), 1.25 km section from Phan Thuc Duyen underpass to Hoang Hoa Tham Street (January 23, 2025), along with a 4-lane overpass in front of T3 Station.

The Tran Quoc Hoan - Cong Hoa connecting road project has a total investment of VND4,800 billion, and was started at the end of 2022. The main road is more than 4 km long, 29.5 - 48 m wide with 6 lanes, and connects with two branches of 18E and C2 roads, each branch has 3 - 4 lanes.

In addition to the overpass in front of the T3 terminal, 980 m long, 17 m wide with 4 lanes, the project also includes two underpasses: Tran Quoc Hoan - Phan Thuc Duyen (42 m long, 9 m wide, 2 lanes) and Truong Chinh - Tan Ky Tan Quy (35 m long, 9 m wide, 2 lanes).

Drainage, lighting, trees and technical infrastructure systems on the route are also being deployed to synchronize with other traffic works in the area.

After completion, this route will contribute to reducing traffic congestion at the gateway to Tan Son Nhat airport, creating more access to Terminal T3, while improving traffic in Tan Binh district and neighboring areas.
