According to information from ACV on May 11, the main material demand for the Ca Mau airport renovation and expansion project includes: 1,620,000 m3 of sand for leveling, 130,000 m3 of concrete and mid-class sand, 70,000 m3 of stone for concrete, and 270,000 m3 of crushed stone aggregate
ACV requested the People's Committee of Ca Mau province to establish a Working Group to coordinate in reviewing and clarifying information and material reserves published locally. At the same time, expand the survey to neighboring provinces to determine feasible supply sources.
In case there are not enough reserves, it is necessary to consider updating the supply from other places in the country or from imports, thereby adjusting the announcement of material prices of the province to suit the reality.

ACV proposed that the Provincial People's Committee report to the Prime Minister, allowing the project to be included in the list of works applying a special mechanism in the licensing of mineral exploitation for common construction materials, thereby being able to exploit material mines in neighboring provinces to serve the project separately.
Vice Chairman of Ca Mau Provincial People's Committee Lam Van Bi informed: Not only the Ca Mau Airport expansion and upgrade project but many other key projects of the province such as the Ca Mau - Dat Mui expressway, the mainland connection road with Hon Khoai Port are also facing difficulties in materials due to high technical requirements. According to current regulations, investors can take steps to establish their own unit prices, then submit them to the province for appraisal and announcement, creating a clear legal basis for project implementation.
The province will propose the Prime Minister to consider putting these projects into the list of key national works, to enjoy the specific mechanism in exploitation and supply of construction materials. At the same time, the province planned to work with localities with potential materials, in order to find long -term and sustainable solutions for the supply of materials for key projects in the area.
Ca Mau province has no sand mines, stone mines, or material mines. Construction works related to sand, stone, cement... are all imported from other provinces.
