Connecting two major seaports of the Mekong Delta
The Ganh Hao Bridge construction project has a total investment of up to 655 billion VND, one of three component projects of the Ong Doc River Bridge Construction Project, the East-West axis road and Ganh Hao Bridge, with a total investment of 2,150 billion VND. This is the second overpass project in the framework of the Ong Doc River Bridge Construction Project, the East-West axis road and Ganh Hao bridge.
Director of the Ca Mau Province Traffic Construction Project Management Board, Mr. Phan Thanh Phuong, said: "Ganh Hao Bridge is a large project, with a design and construction using relatively new technology compared to the management capacity of the Ca Mau Province Traffic Construction Project Management Board".
Chairman of the People's Committee of Bac Lieu province Pham Van Thieu affirmed: "Ganh Hao Bridge not only has traffic significance but also demonstrates the common will and aspiration for development of the Party Committee, government and people of 02 provinces... The opening of Ganh Hao Bridge creates a link in the new province's transportation system to other important transport routes in the region. At the same time, it will facilitate connections to promote socio-economic development, attract investment, exploit potential in green energy, clean energy, coastal eco-tourism, high-tech agriculture and other key economic sectors of Ca Mau - Bac Lieu province".
Vice Chairman of Ca Mau Provincial People's Committee Lam Van Bi emphasized: “Song Doc seaport and Ganh Hao seaport are two large and important estuaries of the Mekong Delta in both economy, politics and defense and security. Currently, Ganh Hao seaport is the gateway to the East Sea of Ca Mau, Bac Lieu provinces, playing an important role in many aspects, which is a UNIT connecting to the West Coast of Ca Lieu provinces and Ca Mau provinces 1 and 1 highway 1 and Palaces of Ca Mau provinces 1 and Palaces Kien Giang
