On the morning of March 6, the People's Committee of Thuan Hoa commune (Tuyen Hoa district, Quang Binh province) said that the bodies of 2 people trapped in the cabin in the accident in the area had been taken out.
After many rescue efforts, at around 8:30 p.m. on March 5, the authorities brought the last body out.
These two bodies were trapped in the truck cabin after a serious accident.
As reported by Lao Dong Newspaper, at around 3:00 p.m. on March 5, Mr. Ngo Van Thang (35 years old, residing in Hong Linh Town, Ha Tinh Province) was driving a truck with license plate 37C-180.xx carrying acacia wood traveling on National Highway 12C in the direction of Quang Binh - Ha Tinh.
When reaching Km 64+500 on National Highway 12C, passing through Ba Tam village (Thuan Hoa commune), this vehicle collided with a truck with license plate 38F-001.xx carrying two people (identities unknown) going in the opposite direction.
The strong collision caused the cabins of both vehicles to be deformed and severely damaged, and two people on the 38F-001.xx vehicle died on the spot.
In addition to the two deceased victims, driver Ngo Van Thang was injured and taken to the hospital for emergency treatment.
