The announcement of the People's Committee of Cat Hai district stated that in recent times, kayaking activities on bays in Cat Ba archipelago have been spontaneous, not ensuring operating conditions according to legal regulations, potentially causing risks to the safety of tourists and security and order in bays in this archipelago.
Faced with the above situation, the People's Committee of Cat Hai district requested agencies, units, organizations and individuals to stop kayaking services from November 15, until they ensure the conditions according to the provisions of law.
Cat Hai District People's Committee requested Cat Ba National Park to urgently complete the dossier, request the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development to promptly appraise and submit to Hai Phong City People's Committee for approval of the tourism, ecological resort and entertainment project for the water surface of 3 areas: Cua Cai - Minh Tu, Van Ta, Ba Dinh; time in November 2024. Submit the dossier to request the competent authority to announce the area for water recreation and entertainment activities, time in December 2024.
At the same time, the District Economic and Infrastructure Department is assigned to preside over and coordinate with relevant agencies and units to advise the District People's Committee to organize appraisal and announce water recreation activity areas according to regulations.
