At around 3:10 p.m. on February 5, a large fire suddenly broke out at an alcohol production facility in Song Phuong Commune, Hoai Duc District, Hanoi. The fire quickly spread to two adjacent factories.
According to people in the fire area, a large fire suddenly broke out from Gia Phat alcohol production facility and then quickly spread to the factory next door.
Upon receiving the news, the Fire Prevention and Fighting and Rescue Police (PCC&CNCH) forces of neighboring localities such as Quoc Oai, Dan Phuong, and Fire Fighting and Rescue Team No. 2 dispatched vehicles and forces to support fire fighting at the scene.
Because this is an alcohol production facility, extinguishing the fire was very difficult, and authorities had to use an excavator to break through to gain access.
The fire caused the factory to almost collapse. This factory is located on agricultural land and has been suspended by the Fire Police Department of Hoai Duc District Police since 2024. According to initial information, there were no casualties in the fire, and authorities are investigating the incident.
