Khanh Hoa - Traffic police forces have fined a driver for stopping on the highway in the wrong place.

On September 4, Highway Traffic Police Team No. 6, Room 6, Traffic Police Department, said that during patrols and inspections on the Cam Lam - Vinh Hao expressway through Khanh Hoa province, functional forces discovered a car with license plate 51G-564. xx stopping on the expressway in the wrong place.

Through inspection, traffic police identified the vehicle driver as Mr. N (born in 1982, residing in Ho Chi Minh City).

In addition to stopping vehicles on highways in the wrong places, drivers also bring motor vehicles without technical safety and environmental protection inspection certificates to participate in traffic.

For the act of stopping the vehicle on the highway in the wrong place, the driver was fined 13 million VND and deducted 6 points from his driver's license.

For the act of bringing a motor vehicle without a certificate of technical safety and environmental protection inspection to participate in traffic, the driver was fined 11 million VND. The vehicle was also temporarily detained for 7 days.

Thus, the total fine for the 2 violations is 24 million VND. The driver was deducted 6 points from his driver's license and the vehicle was temporarily detained for 7 days.

According to traffic police, stopping cars on the highway to rest or sleep is a particularly dangerous act.

Because vehicles on the expressway travel at high speeds, if a vehicle stops suddenly on the driving lane, the vehicle behind may not be able to detect and handle it in time, leading to collisions, even chain collisions with serious consequences.

Traffic police recommend that when feeling sleepy or tired, vehicle drivers should proactively move to rest stops or locations where they are allowed to stop and park to rest.
