Thanh Hoa - Rising floodwaters cause division, police forces used motorboats to support a family to bring the ashes of the deceased home.

On September 17, information from the Fire and Rescue Police Department, Thanh Hoa Provincial Police said that on the morning of the same day, the unit received a report requesting support from the family of Mr. L.V. T. (born in 1964, residing in Dong Thanh village, Nong Cong commune, Thanh Hoa province).

Accordingly, a relative of Mr. T.'s family passed away and has been cremated. However, due to rising floodwaters and many roads being flooded, the family has not been able to bring the ashes of the deceased home to organize the funeral.

Faced with the above situation, functional forces mobilized motorboats, coordinated with the family to approach the flooded area, and supported moving the ashes for nearly 1 km from the main road to the house to organize the funeral.

Previously, on September 16, in Pu Luong commune, Thanh Hoa province, a case also occurred where an old woman passed away but the floodwaters flowed strongly, causing difficulties for the family in bringing the coffin to the cemetery.

After grasping the incident, local authorities and people joined hands to build a temporary bamboo bridge, supporting the family to bring the coffin through the floodwaters to the cemetery for burial.
