The project connecting Provincial Road 163 with Noi Bai - Lao Cai Expressway is 33km long, passing through 5 communes: Yen Thai, Ngoi A, Mau Dong, An Binh and Quang Minh of Van Yen district. The project is invested by Yen Bai Provincial Construction Investment Project Management Board with a total capital of 200 billion VND.
The route was started in December 2022 and is expected to be completed by the end of December 2024, with a joint venture of Linh Huy Hoang Company Limited and Hugia Investment and Development Joint Stock Company as the contractor.
Once completed, the project is expected to connect the traffic infrastructure of Van Yen district, Provincial Road 163 with Noi Bai - Lao Cai expressway.
At the same time, it creates traffic links between districts of Yen Bai province with the Northwestern provinces and the capital Hanoi.
According to Lao Dong's report on December 6, many sections of the project have been completely paved with asphalt, creating favorable conditions for people to travel; some sections under construction are being urgently completed.
Currently, the sewer system along the route and road markings are being actively constructed by machines and workers to ensure the project is completed on schedule.
Mr. Nguyen Nhat Phong (32 years old, Quang Minh, Van Yen) said that since the policy of building the road was announced, people have been very supportive and excited.
"Most people agree to accept the project's site clearance plan. Many items are still under construction, but the road surface has been basically completed, making it easier for people to move around," said Mr. Phong.
Speaking with Lao Dong, Chairman of Quang Minh Commune People's Committee Trieu Quy Duc said that the project is about 12km long through the commune.
"The project has 331 households subject to site clearance, of which about 320 households have agreed to the plan and received compensation. More than 10 remaining households are still stuck, currently the government is adjusting the map and completing the documents to pay according to the new Land Law. It is expected that the asphalt paving of the road will be basically completed in December," informed the Chairman of Quang Minh commune.
