The project to build a connecting road from Km30 of Tuyen Quang - Phu Tho Expressway to the center of Thanh Ba District (old) was approved in early March 2022 according to Decision No. 445/QD-UBND of Phu Tho Provincial People's Committee.
This project has a total investment of 250 billion VND, invested by the Phu Tho Project Management Board (formerly the People's Committee of the old Thanh Ba district); the project implementation location is in the communes of Thanh Ba, Quang Yen, Chan Mong.
On November 18, 2022, the People's Committee of the old Thanh Ba district issued Decision No. 2862/QD-UBND, approving the results of the contractor selection for Package No. 15: Construction of the project, Phuong Nam Construction and Mechanical Joint Stock Company won the bid with a price of more than 158 billion VND.
According to the reporter of Lao Dong Newspaper in early December, after 3 years of construction, the project has taken shape. The newly built road is more than 7.6km long, passing through many fields, gardens, and hills planted with tarpaulins in the old Thanh Ba district, forming consecutive high slopes.
It can be seen that most of the route has been paved with asphalt, the intersection between the new road and Provincial Road 312 is under construction, the renovated Provincial Road 312 near Tuyen Quang - Phu Tho Expressway is also being completed.
According to the design, the route is built according to the standards of a grade III plain road, with a design speed of 80km/h; a roadbed of 12m wide, a road surface of 7m wide... The starting point of the route connects with the inter-commune traffic road in Zone 3, the old Thanh Ba town (now Thanh Ba commune); the end point connects with National Highway 2 at Km95+250.
Mr. Lai Van Thong - a resident of Quang Yen commune, the old Thanh Ba district (now Quang Yen commune) - shared: "We are very happy to have a new route, from here I can easily go straight to the district center or take Tuyen Quang - Phu Tho expressway, traffic will develop, the local economy and society will also develop accordingly".
According to the report of the Phu Tho Project Management Board, with the main route, the section from Km0+317 - Km1+00, Km5+400 - Km5+800 is currently under construction; asphalt concrete pavement, crushed stone province is 6.4km/7.443km. Regarding site clearance, the main route has handed over 7.25/7.443km of clean land to the contractor. With the project implementation period until December 31, 2026, the construction progress is currently guaranteed.
When put into use, the route will create a traffic axis connecting the center of the old Thanh Ba district with the Tuyen Quang - Phu Tho expressway, contributing to the development of industrial parks/clusters in the area, meeting the needs of people for trade in goods and travel, creating favorable conditions to promote socio-economic development.
