On March 30, according to information from Vietnam Airports Corporation (ACV), component project 3 of the Long Thanh airport phase 1 project has completed 3 bidding packages and is implementing the remaining 12 bidding packages. To date, the total value of the volume is about 64,102 billion VND, reaching 74% compared to the signed contract value.
Currently, the main bidding packages of the project are being accelerated by ACV in coordination with other parties.
At package 4. 6 (takeoff and landing paths, taxiways, aircraft apron) on December 19, 2025, a technical flight was carried out on schedule; the remaining volume of the package is expected to be completed in April 2026.
Package 4.12 (2nd runway) according to contractors' reports, is expected to complete the entire item of the package before June 30, 2026.
Package 5.10 (passenger terminal construction), the contractor consortium has mobilized 3,624 personnel and more than 1,000 machinery and equipment to deploy construction, and has basically completed the reinforced concrete structure, roof steel structure, glass wall elevation... ACV is continuing to coordinate with the parties to handle backlogs and find solutions to remove difficulties for contractors to accelerate progress.
Package 6. 12 (construction of the transportation system connecting route No. 1 and route No. 2), so far route No. 1 has been technically opened to traffic on April 30, 2025; route No. 2 has completed the foundation and roadbed items, asphalt concrete paving work has reached 100%. Currently, the contractor is actively implementing the construction of traffic safety, green trees, and lighting items.
Other bidding packages such as: Package 4.7 (aircraft apron passenger terminal), package 4.8 (inland port transport and technical infrastructure)..., contractors are striving to complete the items in the second quarter of 2026 to ensure synchronous operation conditions for the entire project.
