The project to expand 2 km of Tan Ky Tan Quy Street (Binh Tan District) has reached its completion after more than 1 year of construction, helping to solve the traffic jam problem at the western gateway of Ho Chi Minh City.

According to Lao Dong on December 26, the 2 km section of Tan Ky Tan Quy Street in Binh Tan District has completed the expansion from 10 m to 30 m.

The road has been paved with asphalt, has a median strip, and has sidewalks...After more than a year of waiting, people living around this area are very excited because the road is newly spacious.Mr. Huu Duy, a resident on Tan Ky Tan Quy Street, said that before, the road was narrow and vehicles had to jostle each other, causing traffic jams, especially during rush hour."Now the road is wide and open, everyone is happy," said Mr. Duy.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Luu (Binh Tan District) said that during the road expansion construction period, the area was often dusty, affecting her family's life. "Now that the new road is clean and beautiful, it is easier for us to do business," Ms. Luu shared.

Tan Ky Tan Quy Street is one of the main roads at the Northwest gateway of Ho Chi Minh City, connecting Binh Chanh district, Binh Tan district, Tan Phu district, Tan Binh district with Tan Son Nhat airport area.

The road is only 8-10m wide and is often congested due to heavy traffic.

The investment project to expand Tan Ky Tan Quy road, 1.98km long, from Binh Long road to Ma Lo (Binh Tan district), started in March 2023. The total investment is about 1,200 billion VND (including construction costs and site clearance compensation).

At the end of Tan Ky Tan Quy Street, there is also an investment project to build a bridge of the same name. Currently, the Tan Ky Tan Quy Bridge has taken shape, the construction unit is urgently constructing 2 sections of the approach road to the bridge, installing railings, lighting systems, etc. The bridge is expected to open to traffic in the first quarter of 2024.
