Landfill opens double the road
Walking on a spacious road in Cam Hoa village (Thai Thuy commune, Hung Yen province) today, few people could have imagined that the road was only over 2m wide, making it difficult for people to travel.
Ms. Pham Thi Anh in Cam Hoa village shared: "This road runs through the residential area in my village that was previously narrow, so it is very difficult to move. Since the road was expanded thanks to the people's land donation movement to build a road, travel has become much more convenient and easier".

With the active participation of local authorities, propaganda work of the front and organizations, more than 230 households in Cam Hoa village have voluntarily donated a part of their family's land, a total area of nearly 3,000m2 to widen the road twice (about 5m), making traffic more convenient.
As an outstanding land donation household in Cam Hoa village, Mr. Bui Nang Vinh said: "When we were informed about the policy of donating land for road construction, my family immediately supported and donated land for the love of the village and neighborhood, for the common development of the locality and society, so if we reduced a few dozen meters of land, we were also very ready. My family has 3 plots of land and we are in agreement with our children and grandchildren to donate about 100m2 to build a road. The location of the land plot I was living in before was to demolish the solid house, then my family built a house back inside to donate land to widen the road".
Joining hands to build the homeland
According to Mr. Pham Quang Dan - Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Thai Thuy Commune, Hung Yen Province, since it was still Thuy Lien Commune, Thai Thuy District (old), the movement of joining hands to build new rural areas, local Party committees and authorities unanimously agreed to build a policy to expand village roads and hamlet alleys.
A highlight in the movement of donating land for road construction is Cam Hoa village. When people donate land, all information is made public and transparent; the locality organizes meetings with people, listens to the opinions, thoughts and aspirations of the people. Thanks to that, households in the road expansion area have voluntarily demolished fences, cleared land, donated land, and did not demand compensation, contributing to the convenience of traffic routes being spacious and clean.

Also a locality with a typical land donation movement in Hung Yen province, in Dong Bang commune, roads have been widely widened to facilitate people's travel and develop trade.
Mr. Nguyen Tien Dat (in An Ap commune, Quynh Phu district, old Thai Binh province; now Dong Bang commune, new Hung Yen province) is a household that donated about 110m2 of land to widen the road, saying that in the past, the road was narrow, winding, and difficult for people to transport goods and travel. Since the people donated the land, there has been a new, airy, clean and beautiful asphalt road, everyone is excited.
"If we do not donate land, we cannot open the road, we people are all united to donate land. Each household contributes a part to build a road for the common good, to enjoy for their children and grandchildren in the future. Now, the clean and beautiful village and hamlet roads also contribute to building new rural areas in the locality," said Mr. Dat.
Along with donating land for road construction, people in localities donating land also contribute working days to participate in cleaning village roads and alleys; dredging canals; renovating and repairing concrete roads and lighting works, contributing to improving the lives and changing the appearance of rural areas in the area.
