Helping people develop the economy
In 2024, Ms. H' Bel Nie (in Ea knop hamlet, Cu Ni commune, Ea Kar district, Dak Lak province) completed a vocational training course on animal husbandry techniques organized by Ea Kar district.
She shared: "The class was implemented methodically, helping me grasp basic knowledge about animal husbandry and disease prevention for livestock."
After more than a year of investing in the barn and buying breeding animals, Ms. H' Bel Nie's family hopes to harvest "sweet fruits" by the end of 2025, contributing to the development of the household economy.

Not only providing knowledge for people, Ea Kar district authorities also support cooperatives to operate effectively, forming a sustainable chain of links. Thanks to that, people have stable output for agricultural products, livestock, and poultry.
According to the People's Committee of Ea Kar district, the locality currently has 57 agricultural and service cooperatives, 22 cooperative groups and agricultural promotion clubs, with more than 5,000 members participating. Many cooperatives provide high-quality seedlings, seedlings and agricultural services, meeting production and market demand.

Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Quyet - Director of Quyet Thang Agricultural - Service Cooperative - said that the unit has been supported with preferential loans and leased 5 hectares of land to build farms and grow grass to expand the scale of livestock farming, purchase about 1,500 livestock per year, and supply the domestic and foreign markets of the province.
The farm model not only creates jobs for 10 local workers with an income of 6 to 10 million VND/month, but also supports the purchase of livestock for households in difficult circumstances, helping people stabilize output, improve the economy and improve their lives.

To date, Ea Kar district has implemented 43 projects to diversify livelihoods to develop poverty reduction models and projects to support production development in the agricultural sector for 398 households. The total State budget supported is over 7.2 billion VND.
By the end of 2024, the whole Ea Kar district will have 2,304 poor households, accounting for 5.76%. There are still 2,164 near-poor households, accounting for 5.41%. The poverty reduction rate decreased by 2.11%, exceeding the set target.

The appearance of the countryside is increasingly spacious
In the period of 2021 - 2025, thanks to the synchronous implementation of socio-economic development solutions associated with sustainable poverty reduction and infrastructure upgrading, many localities in Ea Kar district have completed the goal of building new rural areas.
To date, the whole district has 7 communes meeting new rural standards, including: Ea O, Cu Ni, Ea Tih, Ea Lar, Ea Kmat, Cu Hue and Xuan Phu. Ea Pan commune alone has completed 19/19 criteria and is waiting for recognition from competent authorities.
In addition, agricultural cooperatives in the area have also gradually improved, escaping the situation of sluggish operations thanks to the model of linking production along the value chain, creating cohesion between businesses, credit institutions and farmers. This is considered the "golden key" in effectively implementing the national target program on new rural construction.

Mr. Nguyen Minh Chuyen - Vice Chairman of Ea Kar District People's Committee - said: "With revenue reaching about 64,000 billion VND, cooperatives and cooperative groups have increasingly affirmed their important role in the socio-economic development of the district".
"Cooperatives and cooperative groups have contributed to improving income and living standards for members, restructuring sustainable agriculture, creating momentum to change the face of rural areas" - Mr. Chuyen added.
