On June 2, the People's Committee of Ninh Binh province announced that Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha had signed Decision No. 1058/QD-TTg recognizing Ninh Binh province as completing the task of building new rural areas in 2024. The decision takes effect from the date of signing and promulgation.
Accordingly, the Prime Minister assigned the People's Committee of Ninh Binh province to organize the announcement and reward according to regulations; at the same time, continue to maintain and improve the quality of criteria, especially focusing on economic and environmental factors to ensure sustainability.
The report of the Ninh Binh Provincial People's Committee said that by the end of 2024, the whole province had met all 8/8 criteria to be considered for recognition for completing the task of building new rural areas according to Decisions No. 321/QD-TTg and 125/QD-TTg.
6/6 districts of the province have met new rural standards and 2 cities have completed the task of building new rural areas. Of which, 2 districts have met the advanced new rural standards. The whole province has 76/119 communes (accounting for 63.8%) meeting advanced new rural standards.
The new rural construction program in Ninh Binh has contributed to significantly improving socio-economic infrastructure, the environment and people's lives. In 2024, the average income per capita of the whole province will reach 73.21 million VND, in rural areas alone it will reach 70.74 million VND/person. The poverty rate decreased to 1.03%. The people's satisfaction with the Program results reached 99.43%.
The recognition of completing the task of building a new countryside marks an important milestone in the process of rural development of the province, and is also the basis for Ninh Binh to switch to a phase of improving quality, towards improved new rural goals and model in the coming years.
