On January 19, the leader of Phu Khanh Railway Exploitation Branch said that the unit is coordinating with relevant units to propose plans to improve infrastructure and serve tourists and passengers at Nha Trang station.
Previously, on January 14, Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee had directing opinions related to improving the quality of service for passengers and tourists at Nha Trang and Thap Cham stations, based on a survey report from the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism.
Accordingly, the Provincial People's Committee requests departments, branches, localities and related units, based on their assigned functions and tasks, to proactively implement recommendations to improve service quality at these two important stations. Thereby, ensuring efficiency, suitability to reality and compliance with legal regulations.
In which, it is proposed that Phu Khanh Railway Exploitation Branch, Saigon Railway Exploitation Branch and Nha Trang Railway Transport Branch conduct a comprehensive review of passenger service quality at Nha Trang and Thap Cham stations.
The review focuses on the process of welcoming and seeing off guests; providing information and guidance to passengers; and the service attitude of staff.
In addition, waiting room conditions, toilets, amenities for the elderly, people with disabilities and tourists as well as coordination with local authorities in ensuring security, order, and safety for passengers.
On that basis, units proactively propose specific solutions to improve service quality, associated with improving infrastructure and the landscape of the station area.
The Provincial People's Committee assigned the Phu Khanh Railway Exploitation Branch to preside over and coordinate with relevant departments, branches and Nha Trang Ward People's Committee to review the current situation, survey and propose a plan to renovate and upgrade the entire foundation of Nha Trang railway station square.
The plan needs to clarify the responsibilities of the parties, the content of implementation, funding sources and implementation roadmap, and report to the Provincial People's Committee for consideration according to regulations.
In addition, the Department of Construction is assigned to inspect, handle and guide the Do Vinh Ward People's Committee to install signposts to Thap Cham station, and at the same time resolve related professional contents.
The Provincial People's Committee assigned the Department of Science and Technology to take the lead in working with telecommunications enterprises and related units to deploy the reduction and renovation of the cable and technical wire system in the area in front of Nha Trang station, ensuring urban aesthetics and fire prevention and fighting safety.
Nha Trang Station is a provincial-level historical and cultural relic of Khanh Hoa, built and inaugurated in 1936.
After nearly a century of existence, after many years of exploitation and use, the station square area (area of about 2,366m2) and surrounding sidewalks have shown many signs of damage and degradation.
