On the afternoon of September 22, speaking with Lao Dong, Mr. Le Trong Binh - Chairman of the People's Committee of Moc Chau district (Son La) informed that the incident happened yesterday afternoon (September 21), 2 people riding a motorbike across the spillway bridge in Ang village, Dong Sang commune were pushed over by the strong current, sweeping both people and the motorbike into the stream.
According to Mr. Binh, the locality has mobilized nearly 200 forces including police, army and communes of Dong Sang, Muong Sang, Chieng Hac to actively search and rescue the two people swept away by the water. As of 11am the same day (September 22), the two victims have not yet been found.
The two people swept away by the flood were identified as Hang A H (born in 1975, residing in Pa Khen 1 village, Moc Chau Farm town) and Trang Thi S (born in 1979, residing in Pha Nhen village, Long Sap commune, Moc Chau district).
