Nearly 6,400 solid houses help people stabilize their lives

Gia Lai - Launching a movement to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses, the police force has helped people stabilize their lives under solid and spacious roofs.

On the afternoon of July 30, in Pleiku ward, the Ministry of Public Security organized a summary program of the movement "Eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses" in the Central Highlands provinces in 2025.

From the beginning of 2025 to now, the Ministry of Public Security has supported the construction, repair and renovation of 6,370 houses for poor and near-poor households in the provinces: Gia Lai, Lam Dong (formerly in the area of the old Dak Nong) and Quang Ngai (formerly in Kon Tum province).

With a total budget of up to 355 billion VND, the program not only helps thousands of families have stable housing but also lays a solid foundation for them to settle down, develop livelihoods, contributing to the long-term stability of the Central Highlands region.

In Gia Lai, not only financial support, officers and soldiers of the Provincial Police also directly contribute 2 days' salary, equivalent to more than 5.4 billion VND to the program.

Along with that is the effective mobilization of social resources, attracting an additional VND2.8 billion and thousands of tons of construction materials. More than 2,000 working days of the police force were also mobilized to directly join hands in building houses and roofing with the people.

Under the new roofs, the quality of life of people in the highlands has been gradually improved, children have a stable place to study. Each house shows the spirit of mutual love, leaving no one behind.
