Due to the impact of natural disasters in 2025, the sea dyke of Hai Tien tourist area, passing through Hoang Tien and Hoang Thanh communes, Thanh Hoa province, was damaged and seriously eroded in many locations.
Faced with the above situation, in March 2026, Thanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee approved the allocation of more than 381 billion VND to urgently handle the eroded embankment sections, serving disaster prevention and control and creating conditions for Hai Tien tourist area to recover soon.
According to the reporter of Lao Dong Newspaper, currently, at the two projects to urgently handle the sea dyke of Hai Tien tourist area, contractors are organizing many construction teams, focusing on completing service roads, releasing tray-legged stone and deploying coastal protection items.
Because the construction process depends heavily on tides, units have to work day and night, divided into continuous shifts to ensure progress.
Representatives of the construction unit said that all manpower and machinery are being mobilized to accelerate progress, striving to complete important items before this year's rainy and storm season.
After more than a month of implementation, the construction volume at the project has reached more than 20%. To protect the Hai Tien sea dyke line before the storm season, the government of Hoang Thanh and Hoang Tien communes requested contractors to focus manpower and vehicles, and soon complete core items such as pumping sandbags to block waves, and releasing rocks into trays.
It is expected that all projects to urgently handle the seawall of Hai Tien tourist area will be completed by the end of 2026.
