At the end of April 2025, when he returned to Hoang Tung commune to ask about the way back to the family of Ms. Tran Thi Chung (born in 1962), no one knew. From the commune center, traveling about 2km of the concrete road, we met a couple who are good at economics.
Welcoming us in a thousands of square meters of a garden barn, Ms. Chung and her husband are always taking care of their livestock.

Ms. Chung said that in 1982, her family encountered many difficulties and lacked a stable job. Not giving up the situation, she boldly borrowed money from the bank and converted the production model on the available land.
Responding to agricultural and rural development programs, Ms. Chung invests in growing safe vegetables and fruit trees, building a system of standard livestock barns and applying science and technology to production.
Both producing and exploring and applying scientific advances, the couple now owns a pig farm with nearly 20 barns on an area of 635 m2, producing about 100 tons of pork belly each year, earning an income of 400900 million VND.

At the same time, the chicken and duck farming model for meat and eggs brings in an additional 150250 million VND/year. To improve product quality, her family self produces fermented feed for livestock, thanks to which the product is clean, rich in nutrients, and trusted by the market.
Taking advantage of natural fertilizer sources, Ms. Chung expanded nearly 8,000 m2 of land for growing vegetables and fruit trees. The following seasons are rotated: the melon and bitter melon crop; tomato crop; the kohlrabi, cabbage, and cauliflower crop, producing about 23.5 tons of vegetables/year, earning 210280 million VND.

"The animal feed is completely natural, so the quality of the meat and eggs is delicious, and my family has a stable output wherever it is produced" - Ms. Tran Thi Chung said.
In addition, she also grows peach blossom and guava all year round, bringing a stable income of tens of millions of VND per year. With the land area that Mr. and Mrs. Chung did not leave to rest on, he himself never rested. Thanks to that, each year, the family's income from farming and raising livestock reaches over 1 billion VND.
Not only enriching herself, Ms. Chung also actively shares her production experience with the community. Every year, she disseminates farming techniques to over 130 households, supporting 25 poor and near-poor households to escape poverty.

With her efforts and sharing, Ms. Tran Thi Chung is truly a shining example of the spirit of overcoming difficulties, getting rich legitimately and contributing to the development of her homeland.
At the conference to summarize emulation and reward work in 2024 and deploy tasks in 2025, Ms. Tran Thi Chung, Ban Chat hamlet, Hoang Tung commune (Hoa An) was honored to receive a Certificate of Merit from the Prime Minister. In addition, there are countless certificates of merit awarded by associations and local authorities.

On April 29, speaking with reporters, Ms. Bui Thi Dam - Vice Chairman of Hoang Tung Commune People's Committee - said: "Ms. Chung's family is a typical household of livestock farming combined with crop cultivation, bringing efficiency, the production process also conveys the experience to many people in the hamlet and commune, helping to develop a new model of improving income".
