Unified the arrangement plan for 126 communes and wards
On the afternoon of April 28, the Executive Committee of the Hanoi Party Committee (XVII course) conducted the 22nd conference meeting to discuss the project of arranging administrative units and organizational structure of the Hanoi political system; Adjusting public investment plans in 2025 and updating and adjusting public investment plan for 5 years 2021-2025 city level.
Presiding over the conference was Member of the Politburo, Secretary of the City Party Committee, Head of the National Assembly Delegation of Bui Thi Minh Hoai City; Member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee, Chairman of Hanoi People's Committee Tran Sy Thanh; Permanent Deputy Secretary of City Party Committee Nguyen Van Phong; Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee, Chairman of City People's Council Nguyen Ngoc Tuan.
At the beginning of the conference, Member of the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Hanoi People's Committee Le Hong Son presented the Proposal on the plan to reorganize commune-level administrative units of Hanoi City.
According to the content of the submission, Hanoi currently has a total area of over 3,359km2 including 30 district-level administrative units (12 districts, 1 town and 17 districts), 526 commune-level administrative units (160 wards, 21 towns and 345 communes); population of 8.587 million people.
Regarding the results of the public consultation, Standing Vice Chairman of the Hanoi People's Committee Le Hong Son said that 97.36% of voters representing households in the city have agreed with the plan to reorganize commune-level administrative units; 96.28% of voters representing households agree with the expected names of communes and wards after the reorganization.
The People's Council delegates of 366 communes, towns and 30/30 districts, towns voted to approve the plan to reorganize commune-level administrative units and plan to name new commune-level administrative units.
Assigning cadres must be fair and objective
Speaking at the conclusion of the Conference, Hanoi Party Committee Secretary Bui Thi Minh Hoai on behalf of the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee highly appreciated and praised the sense of responsibility of the Party committees, authorities, the Fatherland Front, districts, towns, communes, wards, towns, departments, agencies and branches of the city, focusing on directing and implementing the arrangement over the past time, especially highly propagated and mobilized in the people.

However, according to the Hanoi Party Committee Secretary, the results of the administrative unit arrangement of grassroots level are only the first step. Immediately after being approved by the Standing Committee of the National Assembly, it is necessary to urgently embark on the organization of the organizational structure to ensure the schedule, roadmap, plan set out, in accordance with the direction of the central and city.
Ms. Bui Thi Minh Hoai suggested that the Organizing Committee of the City Party Committee preside over advising the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee to promptly issue a plan to guide implementation; at the same time, note that personnel work is an extremely important issue.
The Central Government has assigned the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee and the Party Committee to decide to organize the organizational structure of the grassroots level. The Party Committee assigned the Standing Committee, the head of the district committees, the towns and towns were responsible for assessing cadres, expected to arrange officials to report to the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee for consideration, evaluation and decision to appoint the Executive Committee of the Party Committee, the Standing Committee of the Party Committee, Secretary, Deputy Secretary, and Member of the Inspection Committee of communes and wards.
