The People's Committee of Saigon Ward, Ho Chi Minh City has launched a symbolic composition contest (logo) with the theme "Saigon Ward - convergence and brilliance" on the occasion of the historic milestone when Saigon Ward came into operation on the basis of merging the entire natural area and population of Ben Nghe Ward and part of the natural area and population of Da Kao Ward, Nguyen Thai Binh Ward.
As of the end of the exam on July 20, the Organizing Committee has received 852 entries from 410 candidates.
This is a testament to the community's interest and active response to building an official identity for Saigon ward - a newly established administrative unit, with the pride and constant development spirit of a super city entering a new era.
Through the preliminary round, the results showed that no work had met all the criteria according to the contest rules, in terms of symbolic features and depth of culture - architecture - art.
In order to continue promoting the spirit of creativity in the community, the People's Committee of Saigon Ward has extended the deadline for submitting works until August 31, 2025.
The entries must be submitted directly to the People's Committee of Saigon Ward (Cultural - Social Department, No. 47 Le Duan, Saigon Ward, Ho Chi Minh City) or submitted via email: hoithithietkelogosaigon@gmail.com.
The A prize winning work will be selected as the new symbol of Saigon ward and receive a certificate of merit and a prize worth 30,000,000 VND.
In addition to the A prize, the prize structure also includes 2 Encouragement prizes, each worth 10,000,000 VND.
