On October 26, the People's Committee of Gia Lai province announced that it had issued regulations on the operating time of environmental sanitation vehicles, cars carrying construction materials and waste released in urban areas in the province.
According to regulations, environmental sanitation vehicles are allowed to operate from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and from 6:30 p.m. the previous day to 6:00 a.m. the following morning.
In particular, in Pleiku, Hoi Phu, Thong Nhat, Dien Hong, An Phu wards, the operating time is from 7:30 to 16:30 and from 8:00 p.m. the previous day to 6:00 a.m. the following day. Quy Nhon, Quy Nhon Dong, Quy Nhon Bac, Quy Nhon Nam wards are allowed to operate from 9:00 p.m. the previous day to 5:00 a.m. the following day.
For cars carrying construction materials and waste, the operating time is regulated from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and from 6:30 p.m. the previous day to 6:00 a.m. the following morning. In Quy Nhon and Quy Nhon Nam wards (except for national highways), vehicles carrying sand, soil, rocks, and gravel are allowed to operate from 6:30 p.m. the previous day to 5:00 a.m. the following day.
In emergency cases such as serving national interests, preventing natural disasters, epidemics, fires and explosions or upon emergency and urgent requests, the above vehicles are allowed to operate 24/24 hours a day.
The Provincial People's Committee assigned the Department of Construction to preside over and coordinate with departments, branches and localities to guide and implement. The Provincial Police directed functional forces to increase patrols, control, and strictly handle cases of violations of operating hours.
Commune-level People's Committees shall base on the actual situation in the locality to decide and organize the installation of signs regulating the operation time of each type of vehicle, and at the same time agree with the road management agency before installation.
