Gia Lai - On the morning of October 10, a group of 62 doctors and nurses from the province will depart for Thai Nguyen and Cao Bang to support overcoming the consequences of storms and floods.

On October 9, the People's Committee of Gia Lai province said that early tomorrow morning (October 10), the support team of 62 doctors and nurses from the province will depart for Thai Nguyen and Cao Bang to help these two localities overcome the damage caused by storms and floods. Support period is from October 11 to 17.

During the working period, the delegation will coordinate with local health sectors to deploy environmental sanitation, disinfect water sources, prevent epidemics, provide medicine and promote health education for people in flooded areas.

The Gia Lai Provincial Department of Health also donated 600kg of Chloramine B to Thai Nguyen and Cao Bang along with 4,000 bags of family medicine, this material is sponsored by Binh Dinh Pharmaceutical and Medical Equipment Joint Stock Company.

The province also urgently supported 4 billion VND for 4 localities that suffered heavy damage due to storms and floods, namely Thai Nguyen, Lang Son, Cao Bang and Bac Ninh, each province 1 billion VND.

Previously, on October 1, Gia Lai province decided to support 6 billion VND to provinces heavily affected by storm Bualoi (storm No. 10) to overcome the consequences of natural disasters. Of which, Thanh Hoa, Nghe An, Quang Tri, Son La provinces are supported with 1 billion VND, Ha Tinh alone is supported with 2 billion VND.

Millions of arms turn to compatriots affected by storms and floods

Consecutive storms No. 8, 9.10 (Bualoi) and floods caused by the storm have killed, left missing, and injured 165 people; many houses and production and business establishments have had their roofs blown off and suffered heavy damage. People across the northern mountainous provinces and the central provinces are struggling to cope with floods and heavy losses in human lives and property due to floods and thunderstorms.
