On October 5, the People's Committee of Gia Lai province issued a plan to build a roadmap for technological innovation for the province's key economic sectors until 2035.
Accordingly, in terms of technology in the field of agricultural - forestry - fishery, the province will focus on deep processing of key products such as planted forest wood, seafood (shrimp, tuna), coffee, pepper, fruits... on an industrial scale.
Forming agricultural models applying high technology associated with processing and building a value chain of products meeting international standards, towards green, circular, organic and clean agriculture.
Functional sectors promote automation, post-harvest preservation technology, clean food processing technology that meets export standards (EU, US, Japan...).
In the field of renewable energy, Gia Lai is also one of the provinces with the largest potential in the country, with wind power, solar power systems in coastal and midland areas; biomass power and energy from agricultural by-products. The spearhead of development is storage technology (battery, BESS), digital control and monitoring technology.
For scenic spots and cultural heritages, the province aims to digitize heritages, museums, and 3D/VR virtual tourism; build a system of tourism data, digital maps, and smart tourism maps.
The goal by 2030 is that the province will have over 25% of small and medium-sized enterprises cooperating in research and development with institutes and schools; over 60% of local small and medium-sized enterprises applying digital technology;
At the same time, Gia Lai aims to attract at least 3 large technology organizations and enterprises in the world to set up headquarters or invest in research and production in the area.
