On October 17, Chairman of Gia Lai Provincial People's Committee Pham Anh Tuan directed the Department of Construction and Ia Pa Commune People's Committee to inspect and handle information reflecting on the damage to the two traffic works that have just been invested in for repair.
Accordingly, the Chairman of the Gia Lai Provincial People's Committee requested the relevant agencies and localities to urgently clarify the press information reflecting on the serious deterioration of Hung Vuong and Quang Trung streets in Ia Pa commune that have just been repaired. The inspection results must be reported to the Provincial People's Committee before October 25.

As Lao Dong has reported, from the provincial decentralized capital, in May 2025, the People's Committee of the old Ia Pa district (now Ia Pa commune, Gia Lai) invested in repairing Hung Vuong and Quang Trung streets with a total cost of 2.2 billion VND, each route 1.1 billion VND.
These two projects are invested by the old Ia Pa District Investment and Construction Project Management Board (now the Ia Pa Area Investment and Construction Project Management Board); Quang Minh Tuan Company Limited is the construction unit and Quang Minh Phat Joint Stock Company is the supervision consultant.
Investing in repairing these two routes is of great significance, contributing to improving the quality of transport infrastructure, enhancing traffic capacity and gradually synchronizing infrastructure, creating a premise to promote local socio-economic development.
The project will be constructed in 90 days, completed and put into use from mid-August 2025. However, after only a short time of operation, the two routes have appeared damaged, peeling and sunken, affecting people's travel and causing public outrage and skepticism about the quality of the project.
Upset by this situation, Mr. Tran Van Gi (born in 22, residing in Gia Lai province) has filed a complaint with the authorities. In the petition, Mr. Gi accused Mr. P.C.S - Director of the old Ia Pa District Investment and Construction Project Management Board - of showing signs of lax management and lack of responsibility in the project implementation process, leading to construction that did not comply with the approved design documents, cutting and showing signs of "impetigo" on the project.
