On December 25, information from the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police, Thanh Hoa Provincial Police said that the unit had just coordinated with the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police of Ninh Binh Province to successfully rescue 2 victims trapped in the accident.

Previously, at around 0:30 on December 25, the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Department of Thanh Hoa Provincial Police received a request for support from the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Department, Ninh Binh Provincial Police for participating in the rescue of a traffic accident between a passenger bus and a truck that occurred on the Cao Bo - Mai Son Expressway, at Km286+564 in the South - North direction, through Tam Diep.
The accident caused 2 victims, the driver and passenger on the bus, to suffer multiple injuries and be trapped in the vehicle, unable to escape on their own. Due to the long distance and large traffic volume causing congestion, the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police of Ninh Binh Province Police could not reach the scene in a short time.
Upon receiving the information, the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Department of Thanh Hoa Provincial Police promptly promoted the spirit of cooperation and support between neighboring areas, quickly mobilized the Fire Fighting and Rescue Team of Area 3 (located in Bim Son) to dispatch vehicles, mobilize forces and vehicles to the scene.
At the scene, the Thanh Hoa Fire Prevention and Rescue Police force closely coordinated with the Tam Diep Fire Fighting and Rescue Team and the Ninh Binh Provincial Police Fire Prevention and Rescue Police force to synchronously deploy professional measures; both reassuring the victims and using specialized equipment to cut the front of the deformed passenger bus.
Assessing that the victims suffered multiple injuries, lost a lot of blood, and needed emergency care, the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police of Thanh Hoa - Ninh Binh provinces have coordinated closely and organized emergency rescue. At 2:30 a.m., the authorities successfully brought the two victims out in a state of alertness, handing them over to the medical team for timely emergency care and treatment.
After completing the mission, the rescue forces recovered the vehicle, handed over the scene to the authorities and returned to the permanent unit.
