The People's Committee of Bac Ninh province has just issued an official dispatch on investing in renovating a number of roads to reduce traffic congestion in Nenh ward.
Accordingly, after reviewing the report and proposal of the People's Committee of Nenh Ward and the Department of Construction, the Chairman of the People's Committee of Bac Ninh Province assigned the People's Committee of Nenh Ward to urgently implement the investment in the project of Renovation and upgrading of the inland road from Coc Bridge culvert to Quang Chau Industrial Park and the project of Renovation and upgrading of the inland road from Chua Bai gate to Quang Chau Industrial Park to solve traffic congestion in the Industrial Park and the area.
Assign the Department of Finance to study and advise the Provincial People's Committee to arrange funding sources to support the People's Committee of Nenh Ward to organize implementation.
According to the reporter's research, in Nenh ward (after the merger), there are currently 4 industrial parks in operation, including: Quang Chau, Van Trung, Dinh Tram and Viet Han, with a total of more than 209,000 workers.
Quang Chau and Van Trung Industrial Parks alone have about 190,000 workers.
However, attracting a large number of workers while the regional transport infrastructure has not been invested in synchronously according to the approved planning has led to many shortcomings in recent times such as: frequent congestion, prolonged congestion; traffic insecurity on expressway service routes, internal roads and external connections between industrial parks and neighboring areas during rush hour.
Regarding long-term solutions, implementing the direction of the provincial leaders, the Traffic and Agricultural Project Management Board No. 1 of Bac Ninh province has advised on the proposed investment policy for the road connecting Van Trung Industrial Park with Quang Chau Industrial Park, running parallel to the expressway service road.
The total investment is expected to be nearly 1,000 billion VND from the provincial budget, implemented in the period of 2026-2029.
