On June 8, information from the People's Committee of Quang Tri province said that Mr. Hoang Nam, Acting Chairman of the People's Committee of Quang Tri province, has issued instructions on the organization of the two-level government and the trial operation plan from June 10, 2025.
Accordingly, it is required that districts establish working groups to communes to review the infrastructure system, especially information technology for work management to ensure smooth operation.
In particular, there must be a plan for transition activities of the two-level government, not causing work interruptions or obstacles to people and businesses.
Regarding the reception and settlement of administrative procedures and archival documents, for the records that the People's Committees at the district level have received, the settlement period and the results must be returned in June, no later than June 25, 2025, and all administrative procedure records that have been and are being received on the provincial administrative procedure settlement information system must be completely resolved.
For the documents that the District People's Committee is receiving and handling, if it is not yet completed by the time of termination of operations, the District People's Committee will hand over to the new agency or unit according to the new decentralization and authority to continue handling.
It is known that Quang Tri currently has 10 district-level administrative units (including 7 districts, 1 island district, 1 city, 1 town) with 119 commune-level units: 13 wards, 11 towns, 95 communes. After dissolving district-level administrative units, Quang Tri province rearranged them into 37 commune-level administrative units.
