Live propaganda, eliminate backward customs
Thanks to that, in recent years, the material and spiritual life of the people, especially ethnic minorities, has been gradually improved significantly. In December 2025, at Kon Jri Village Women's Union, Kon Braih Commune Women's Union organized a contest to eliminate gender based prejudices and prevent domestic violence, associated with the Campaign "Change the thinking and working style of ethnic minorities, help people rise out of poverty sustainably".
The contest attracted 8 teams with more than 60 contestants, focusing on promoting gender equality, eliminating gender discrimination, preventing domestic violence and the knowledge multiple-choice test. The annual contest helps improve people's knowledge and understanding.

Through the form of visual and lively propaganda, the contest contributes to raising people's awareness of the role of women and children; equipping knowledge about gender, gender equality, preventing domestic violence and parenting methods.
Thereby, commune cadres have gradually changed inappropriate customs and practices, creating an important foundation for people to work with peace of mind, stabilize their lives and escape poverty sustainably.

In recent years, the Kon Braih commune government has paid special attention to preserving and promoting the traditional cultural identity of ethnic minorities in the area. Many movements and cultural activities are organized regularly, creating a healthy community living space, contributing to improving the spiritual life of the people.
The Ethnic Minority Cultural Festival held every two years is a typical activity. Within the framework of the festival, the Organizing Committee integrates many rich contents such as: traditional culinary exhibitions and competitions; brocade weaving space; gong competition, xoang dance; folk games and recreation of traditional festivals associated with the lives of ethnic minorities.

Ms. Y Lieu, village 11 Kon Tuh, Kon Braih commune, said: "The festival has rustic dishes that have been associated with life for generations such as grilled giant bamboo shoots, grilled basil with wild sour leaves, papaya and bitter ca phe stir-fried noodles, and ant salad... The dishes not only express cultural identity but are also the pride of the local community here".
In addition, the gong - xoang contest of ethnic minorities is held regularly, associated with the recreation of traditional festivals such as water festivals, new rice festivals, new greenhouse celebrations, and New Year celebrations.

Currently, Kon Braih commune has 7 ethnic groups, mainly Kinh, Ba Na, and Xo Dang. Maintaining cultural activities has contributed to preserving and passing on traditional values to the younger generation, creating community cohesion and a solid spiritual foundation for sustainable development.
Clear effectiveness of synchronous solutions
As a mountainous commune with a large proportion of agricultural and forestry production, Kon Braih pays special attention to the management and control of plant varieties, especially forestry varieties. The People's Committee of the commune has issued documents directing and assigning specialized agencies and village management boards to review and strictly manage the production, trading, storage and use of plant varieties in the area.

People are instructed to use seedlings of clear origin, ensuring quality and high productivity; promptly detecting and handling diseases of unknown origin and foreign varieties. Along with that, propaganda and consultation work has been implemented synchronously, creating unity and consensus among the people, contributing to stable production development and long-term income increase.
Implementing the policy of building large-scale fields, in recent years, the People's Committee of the commune has mobilized households in the area to increase plots of land to exchange plots, accumulate agricultural land to build "large fields". Up to now, Kon Braih commune has had many households participate in the model, applying science and technology, bringing high efficiency.

Specifically: the area of macadamia trees of Nhat Long Farm LLC in village 10 with an area of 10 hectares; Mr. Nguyen Van Vy's household in village 3 with a durian growing model intercropped with coffee with an area of about 11 hectares; Mr. Phan Dat Lam's household grows grapes in village 6 with an area of about 2 hectares; and the rice fields of the people of village 3 with an area of 70 hectares...
The implementation of the policy of land accumulation and the formation of large model fields has created a new look for rural areas. This is an opportunity to promote the mechanization of agriculture in production and harvesting, form a chain of linkages to increase the value of agricultural products and land resources, contributing to poverty reduction in the locality.

According to Mr. Vo Van Luong - Secretary of the Kon Braih Commune Party Committee, thanks to the synchronous implementation of groups of solutions, the commune's poverty reduction work has had positive changes. People have gradually renovated the ornamental garden, built coffee and macadamia gardens; many households have been supported with breeding cows to develop livestock farming. Support policies on housing, healthcare, education, insurance, and loans are implemented to the right beneficiaries, helping people stabilize their lives and feel secure in production.
As a result, the poverty rate has decreased over the years, and people's lives have improved significantly. In 2025 alone, Kon Braih commune will have 77 households escape poverty, of which 67 households are ethnic minorities, affirming the effectiveness of the sustainable poverty reduction trend associated with changing awareness and long-term livelihood development.
