Caring for and improving people's lives
The entire Lien Son Lak commune (Dak Lak province) has 8 villages, 23 hamlets with more than 6,300 households, more than 26,300 people. Of which, ethnic minorities account for more than 73%. The rate of poor households in the commune is currently at 18.2% and near-poor households is 16.9%.

Recently, the Lien Son commune government has opened many training courses, transferred science and technology in agricultural production, and supported livelihoods so that people have the conditions to rise up. Thanks to that, in 2025, many families have developed their household economy and escaped poverty.
Typically, the family of Mr. Y Khon Quan and Ms. H Tin (Dong Buk village). In 2024, the family was supported with breeding cows from the National Target Program.
Thanks to diligently learning animal husbandry and care techniques, the family's herd has grown well, bringing a stable source of income. By 2025, the family had escaped poverty and become a model for the villagers to follow.

Similarly, Mr. Y Kha Trieng (Cuor Tak village) will also receive breeding cow support in 2024.
"Last year, my family was still in a difficult situation, and our income from renting was unstable. When I was supported with breeding cows, I was determined to raise them and apply the techniques I was instructed. Thanks to that, the family's economy has gradually stabilized and we will escape poverty by 2025" - Mr. Y Kha Triek said.
Along with supporting livelihoods, Party committees, authorities and units in the commune also promote propaganda and mobilize people to convert crops and livestock inefficiently to increase economic value.

The village elder Y Tiep Luc (Drang village) said that the people have a good working spirit but still lack a sustainable livelihood and many essential items.
"Many families still lack water for daily use in the dry season, having to buy it from outside is very costly, time-consuming, even money. We hope to support water tanks to improve our lives, said Mr. Y Tiep Luc.
According to the village elder Y Tiep Luc, the local government's supply of water tanks not only helps ensure living conditions but also contributes to improving the quality of life. Women have more time to participate in social work, while men focus on developing production...

Towards a better future
In the coming time, with a capital of more than 8.8 billion VND from the National Target Program for Socio-Economic Development of Ethnic Minority and Mountainous Areas in 2025, the People's Committee of Lien Son Commune will continue to synchronously implement many solutions.
In particular, the locality focuses on effectively implementing programs and projects to support livelihoods, develop production, invest in essential infrastructure... Thereby, improving the material and spiritual life of the people and contributing to sustainable poverty reduction.

Mr. Y Tho Mo - Deputy Head of the Department of Culture and Social Affairs of Lien Son commune said that the process of selecting and surveying beneficiaries is always carried out strictly and in accordance with regulations.
"I went directly to the facility, coordinated with the village chiefs to review each household. Thanks to that, we can grasp the thoughts and aspirations of the people to have appropriate support directions," Mr. Y Tho Mlo shared.
According to Mr. Y Tho, after receiving livelihood support and knowledge to start a business, many households have had the conditions to look forward to a better future.
The commune is also gradually shifting its economic structure towards focusing on agriculture - forestry - fishery, a sector that has accounted for a large proportion of the locality over the years. The commune's goal is to help people get rich right in their homeland, and the villages are increasingly innovating towards spaciousness and modernity.
