The Provincial Road Project (DT) 261 - DT.266 connecting Phu Binh District and Pho Yen City has a total investment of 736 billion VND, invested by the Thai Nguyen Provincial Traffic Construction Investment Project Management Board and approved by the Provincial People's Committee in 2023.
The project has a total length of 2km and a width of 47m. Of which, the section through Phu Binh district is 1.5km long, the rest is in Pho Yen city. The starting point of the project intersects with DT.261 at Km47+350.54, the end point intersects with DT.266 in Diem Thuy commune (Phu Binh).
According to the reporter of Lao Dong Newspaper in early March 2025, after more than 1 year of implementation, the project has been basically completed. Most of the entire road surface is paved with asphalt, making it easy for people and vehicles to travel.
To hand over the project in March 2025, the investor is currently speeding up and urgently implementing the construction of sidewalk items and some other auxiliary items.
As of the first quarter of 2025, the construction progress has reached: the roadbed reached 92.81% of the volume; the road foundation reached 93.3%; the asphalt concrete pavement reached 59.26%; the Kenh bridge project reached 87.51%. Other items (such as drainage system; traffic safety; technical mines, trees, sidewalks, etc.) reached 72.42%.

Having a house near the above project, Ms. Nguyen Thi Tham (Phu Binh) said that before the project was implemented, people's travel was very difficult, people and vehicles had to travel a long and time-consuming detour.
"When we learned that there was a road construction project, the people in the area agreed and supported us. Currently, transportation is much more convenient than before, we hope this project will be completed soon to serve the people", Ms. Tham added.
Information from the People's Committee of Diem Thuy commune (Phu Binh), to implement the project through the commune, the area that needs to be cleared is over 4.4 hectares, with 83 households affected.
When completed, the route will create a complete traffic network, connecting industrial parks in the area with the old Hanoi - Thai Nguyen expressway and National Highway 3, contributing to promoting trade and attracting investment.
