According to the leader of Vung Ang Ward People's Committee, in the face of prolonged heavy rain causing local flooding in some places in the area, the commune government has directed forces to be on duty 24/7 and organize the evacuation of households in low-lying, dangerous areas to safe shelters.
On the afternoon of October 30, Vung Ang ward evacuated 146 households with over 330 people in 4 residential groups: Truong Yen, Truong Phu, Canh Truong, Tay Yen to safety.
Prolonged heavy rain is expanding local flooding areas in Ha Tinh. Currently, Hoanh Son ward is also partially flooded on National Highway 1. The authorities have placed warning signs.
In Cam Due commune, there were also local flooding in 4 villages. The commune police have placed signs prohibiting vehicles from circulating on National Highway 8C near Boc Nguyen village.
Currently, many reservoirs in Ha Tinh are overflowing. Of which, Ke Go lake discharged 90m3/s; Song Rac lake 353m3/s; Kim Son lake 30m3/s; Thuong Song Tri lake 60m3/s; Han Da lake 12m3/s; Boc Nguyen lake 5m3/s. Ho Ho Hydropower Plant crosses the spillway with a flow of 148 m3/s.
