The Hanoi City Labor Federation has just issued a plan to organize activities to care for union members and workers on the occasion of the Lunar New Year 2025. It requires grassroots unions to monitor and request employers to publicly announce salary and bonus plans for Tet at least 30 days before the Tet holiday.
Grassroots trade unions are responsible for reporting on businesses facing difficulties, bankruptcies, business owners who abscond or do not pay salaries and bonuses to employees before Tet.
At the same time, trade unions at all levels coordinate with businesses to organize spring activities to celebrate Tet for workers who cannot return to their hometowns, and at the same time encourage workers to return to work after the holiday.
According to the plan to take care of the Lunar New Year 2025, the Hanoi City Labor Federation will support bus tickets in cash for 5,000 workers to return home for Tet, with the support level flexible depending on each locality.
In addition to supporting bus tickets, Hanoi Trade Union will also organize the program "Tet Sum Vay - Xuan Ung Dang" on January 11, 2025, with the participation of about 800 workers at the Vietnam-Soviet Friendship Labor Cultural Palace.
