According to Lao Dong, the People's Committee of Ha Dong district (Hanoi) has just completed the fourth phase of land reclamation for 10 households in Quang Trung and Duong Noi wards to serve the construction of the La Khe canal hardening project (part of the project to improve the drainage system in the western area of Hanoi).
According to the People's Committee of Ha Dong district, the total recovered area is 819.7m2 of land (of which, 8 households in Quang Trung ward have an area of 709.8m2; 2 households in Duong Noi ward have an area of 109.9m2).
As for households in La Khe ward, through mobilization and propaganda, they agreed to hand over the land.
The project to improve the drainage system in the western area of Hanoi is a key project of the city, of great significance in the drainage of the entire western area.
Up to now, the People's Committee of Ha Dong district has appraised and approved the compensation and support plan for 100% of the entire project area with a total amount of 372.1 billion VND. The locality has handed over 28.65/29.15 hectares to the investor to implement the project.
According to statistics, there are still 95 households that have not received money and handed over land with an area of 0.5ha (Yet Kieu ward has 30 households, Quang Trung has 58 households, La Khe has 3 households and Duong Noi has 4 households).
The People's Committee of Ha Dong district said that it had issued a decision approving the compensation and support plan and announced payment many times; propagandized, mobilized, and persuaded households to comply with receiving money and handing over the land, but the households did not agree.
Based on the project implementation time, the People's Committee of Ha Dong District has developed a plan to organize enforcement in 6 phases. To date, the local government has completed 4 phases.
Ha Dong District aims to complete site clearance work in 2024 and complete the hardening of La Khe canal by the end of 2025.
The project to improve the drainage system in the western area of Hanoi (Yen Nghia Drainage Pumping Station Project) was started in 2015.
The project has a total investment of more than 7,000 billion VND, with the Hanoi Department of Agriculture and Rural Development as the investor.
By January 2020, the project had just completed the Yen Nghia Pumping Station. In this project, the hardening of the entire La Khe canal could not be completed due to problems with site clearance.
