According to Lao Dong's record on January 8, site clearance (GPMB) to serve the project to build squares and parks in the area east of Hoan Kiem Lake is being accelerated by Hanoi city.
There are 17 agencies, organizations and more than 40 households and individuals subject to land recovery for project implementation. Up to this point, most households have moved.
Ms. L.L.O's family was compensated for a piece of land of more than 50m2 on the other side of Long Bien bridge. She hopes that when the house is built, living conditions in the new place will be better than the place where her family has been attached for decades.
The State's policy of compensation, support, and resettlement is satisfactory. The government requests that land must be handed over no later than December 29, 2025, my family moved out one week ahead of schedule" - Ms. O said.



According to records inside the houses, most of the household items have been moved, leaving only old iron doors, aluminum frames, electric wires, broken glass fragments, bricks and some items that are no longer of use.
Some households and organizations are also actively cleaning up and handing over land right in early January.


According to statistics from Hoan Kiem Ward People's Committee, by the end of the first week of January 2026, compensation, support, resettlement, and site clearance for the project to invest in building squares and parks in the area east of Hoan Kiem Lake have achieved many important results.
For organizational blocks, the ward has received land from 8/17 units, concentrated at addresses 22 Ly Thai To; 61, 63 and 69C Dinh Tien Hoang. These are units that have completed the relocation of headquarters and handed over land in accordance with the approved compensation and support plan.
Currently, these areas have been corrugated iron, serving the demolition and preparing for the next implementation steps of the project.
In parallel with that, 9/17 units remaining are in the process of moving, including 6 units belonging to the electricity industry and 3 other units.

For households, up to now, 41/43 households have agreed with the compensation, support, and resettlement plan. Among them, 23 households have handed over land, and 18 households are moving according to the plan.
The remaining two households continue to be propagated, mobilized and fully implement the procedures and procedures according to the provisions of the 2024 Land Law, ensuring the legitimate rights and interests of the people.
Hoan Kiem Ward People's Committee said that the entire compensation, support, and resettlement plan for 17 organizations and 43 households has been approved; the ward is focusing on paying compensation and support money; and at the same time coordinating with Viet Hung ward, Yen Hoa ward and Dong Anh commune to complete procedures for allocating resettlement land to households and leasing land to electricity industry organizations.
Hoan Kiem ward strives to complete the handover of all clean ground to the city before January 15, 2026, creating conditions for project implementation according to plan.

The project to invest in building squares and parks in the area east of Hoan Kiem Lake has a site clearance scale of about 21,151m2, with the western border adjacent to Hoan Kiem Lake, the north adjacent to residential areas, the east adjacent to Ly Thai To street and the south adjacent to Tran Nguyen Han street; total investment of 2,841 billion VND.
After completing site clearance work, this area will be invested in building squares and parks, forming a wide open community living space, contributing to improving the quality of urban environment and the landscape of the central area of the Capital.
