According to initial information, at around 11pm on March 22, Tran Ngoc Bao T (born in 2009) and Nguyen Xuan Q (born in 2012), both residing in Phuoc Thuan Commune (Ninh Phuoc District, Ninh Thuan), went to Dao Long 2 Bridge across Dinh River - the traffic route connecting Ninh Phuoc District with Phan Rang - Thap Cham City.
Here, the two children left personal belongings, held each other's arms and jumped into the river to commit suicide. Discovering the incident, people nearby quickly reported it to the authorities.
After receiving the report, Ninh Thuan Provincial Police mobilized the Fire Prevention and Fighting and Rescue Police to organize the search. After many hours of effort, on the morning of March 23, the bodies of the two students were found about 40m from the bridge jumping location, in a tight hug position.

Before the incident, Q was still participating in extracurricular activities and playing with friends. Recently, Q has not shown any unusual signs.
