On January 26, in Nam Can district, Ca Mau province, Squadron 42 - Command of Coast Guard Region 4 organized the program "Island Tet - Spring of Love", giving gifts to poor households in difficult circumstances and poor students overcoming difficulties in the area.
Lieutenant Colonel Trinh Minh Hien - Party Secretary, Political Commissar of the Navy said that the program has profound meaning, expressing the affection and responsibility of officers and soldiers of Navy Squadron 42 towards the poor and families in difficult circumstances every time Tet comes.
Although the gifts are small in material terms, they contain the deep feelings and affection of the officers and soldiers of the entire Navy Division to share, encourage, and help people have a more complete and warm Tet, so that no one is left behind.
Lieutenant Colonel Trinh Minh Hien hopes that the poor and those in difficult circumstances in the military area will strive to overcome difficulties, develop the economy, and reduce poverty. Participate well in the campaigns and emulation movements of the whole country, contributing with the unit to build a solid national defense posture, people's security, and a safe area.
During the program, Squadron 42 presented 20 Tet gifts (each worth 1 million VND) to poor, near-poor, disadvantaged households, families with meritorious services, and people with revolutionary contributions; 10 gifts (each worth 300,000 VND) to poor students who overcame difficulties in Nam Can Town from the fund mobilized from the contributions of officers and soldiers of the Squadron in Nam Can area.
Ms. Ton Nu Huong Giang - Head of the Mass Mobilization Committee, President of the Fatherland Front Committee of Nam Can district sent her deep thanks to the Party Committee, the Navy Commander and all officers and soldiers in the unit for always doing a good job of coordinating with the locality to organize many programs and activities for the people in the area. Thereby demonstrating the closeness, sharing and deep concern of the unit and the locality in carrying out mass mobilization work, associated with social security activities.
