More than 900 new houses built
In Nam Sach district, Mrs. To Thi Tuan (Trung Ha village, Nam Tan commune) only has one son, her husband died early. Both she and her son are not healthy and are facing financial difficulties. The mother and child's house was degraded.
Implementing the program to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses according to the direction of superiors, Nam Sach district and Nam Tan commune have coordinated to review and make a list for Ms. Tuan's family to receive support.
It is expected that Ms. Tuan's house will be built on an area of 80m2 with enough rooms for the mother and child to live in. Previously, the Party Committee, government, the Fatherland Front and mass organizations of Nam Tan commune supported Ms. Tuan's family for more than 30 working days to dismantle and level the ground.
In recent days, Cam Giang district has urged to speed up the progress of starting construction and repairing houses for people with revolutionary contributions, relatives of martyrs, poor households, near-poor households, promptly grasp and remove difficulties and obstacles in the implementation process, striving for 100% of households to complete new construction and repair before June 30, 2025.
According to the Steering Committee for the implementation of the elimination of temporary and dilapidated houses in Cam Giang district, as of February 22, the whole district has started to build new and repair 48 houses for people with revolutionary contributions, relatives of martyrs, poor households, and near-poor households, reaching 50% of the supported houses, including 27 newly built households and 21 repaired households.

According to the results on the software system to monitor the progress of eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses for people with meritorious services, relatives of martyrs, poor households, and near-poor households of the Provincial People's Committee, as of 3:00 p.m. on February 23, the whole province has started eliminating 905/1638 temporary and dilapidated houses (55.3%).
Some localities with high progress in construction have achieved high results such as: Nam Sach district (66%), Kinh Mon (42.3%), Gia Loc (40.1%). Thanh Mien district is the locality with the lowest construction start rate in the province at 14.5%.
Hai Duong youth actively participate
From February 8-14, youth volunteer teams in Hai Duong province have coordinated with all levels and sectors to participate in supporting the construction of 31 new houses and the repair of 18 houses.
More than 350 union members contributed 1,157 working days to practical tasks, such as: dismantling temporary and dilapidated houses, transporting construction materials (brick, sand, cement), installing house foundations, roofing, repairing and reinforcing degraded houses for households in difficult circumstances. Thanks to that, many households have new, more spacious houses.

In Thanh Ha district, young volunteers have volunteered to participate in supporting the demolition of temporary and dilapidated houses in the district. More than 20 youth union members have participated in supporting in Hong Lac, Cam Viet, Vinh Cuong communes with tasks such as: demolishing old houses; transporting construction materials; cleaning houses.
Gia Loc District Youth Union has directed the Youth Union of Gia Tien and Quang Duc communes to mobilize youth union members to support 3 households of Ms. Ngo Thi Sang (Luy Duong village, Gia Tien commune); Mr. Pham Van Bach, 4/4 war invalid (Luy Duong village, Gia Tien commune) and Mr. Dinh Van Thuong, near-poor household (Tho Xuong village, Quang Duc commune). These are 3 households that have been supported to build houses under the program to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses in Gia Loc district (Hai Duong province).
With the spirit of volunteering for the community, Hai Duong youth has contributed to giving strength to families to overcome difficulties, affirming the pioneering role of the young generation in building an increasingly developed, civilized and beautiful homeland.
