At 7:02 am on April 7, Command Information Center 114, Fire and Rescue Police Department (Hai Phong City Police) received a report of a fire in the outdoor scrap yard area outside the premises of My Huong Paper Production Joint Stock Company in Van Trang village, An Lao commune. The fire is in danger of spreading to the entire factory area of the company.
Command Information Center 114 mobilized 9 fire trucks, 1 fire robot and 50 officers and soldiers to the scene to coordinate with forces (Commune Police, Military Command of the commune, Disaster Prevention and Search and Rescue and Civil Defense Command of An Lao commune, Brigade 679 Region 1 Navy, Petroleum Sub-Department 700 - Naval Technical Logistics Department, Chemical Defense Battalion 38 - Military Region 3 Staff Department) to organize firefighting and rescue.
At the scene, the fire commander quickly directed reconnaissance and grasped the situation. Recognizing that the fire occurred in the outdoor scrap yard area (outside the premises of My Huong Paper Production Joint Stock Company) with a fire area of about 2,000 m2, the fire commander ordered the deployment of teams to organize firefighting and prevent fire from spreading. By 11 am on the same day, the fire was basically controlled, preventing the risk of fire spreading to adjacent areas.
Initially determined, the fire did not cause any casualties. Currently, functional agencies are continuing to investigate the cause of the fire according to regulations.
