According to initial information, two 41-seat and 34-seat sleeper buses were traveling from Ho Chi Minh City to the Western provinces when they suddenly collided at the rear when they reached the section in An Thanh commune.
At the time of the accident, there were more than 30 passengers on the two vehicles. The incident did not cause any casualties but caused many people to panic, the luggage in the car was thrown wide, and the cabin was disrupted.
A representative of Road Management Area IV confirmed that this was a collision between two sleeper buses. The accident did not cause any human casualties and did not greatly affect the infrastructure of the expressway. However, because the scene took up part of the lane, vehicles had to move slowly through lane 2 and the emergency lane.
Immediately after the incident, the authorities, including Expressway Management Team No. 1 and Road Traffic Police Team No. 7 (under the Traffic Police Department, Ministry of Public Security) quickly arrived at the scene to handle, divert and regulate traffic, avoiding prolonged congestion.
