Many ways to avoid inspection of authorities
In the past 8 days, the store of Ms. Dung - the owner of a store specializing in wholesale of a large quantity of candy, soft drinks, and snacks in La Phu (Hoai Duc district, Hanoi) has switched to a state of slow operation. Mainly selling processed goods and paper air transport imported from the northern border, unable to prove their origin, most of the goods at the store have to be pushed deep into the warehouse, only taken out when customers ask.
"This time the authorities are searching strongly, my family does not dare to sell goods, most of the un documented goods have to be pushed deep into the warehouse to avoid being "bombed", Ms. Dung's husband said.
As a "famous" store in the counterfeit capital - La Phu, for many years now, Ms. Dung's family business as well as many other traders here have "eaten well" because they sell counterfeit goods, processed almost like famous brands and exported to other provinces. Many people consider selling goods to evade taxes, without invoices, and without proving their origin as a matter of course.
"What we used to sell, there are no invoices or documents, now when we check, it's all wrong. People accept using goods here because the price is low, more competitive than the market, now the issuance of invoices must increase by 8% so that who can buy goods. My family has determined that this year we will all be hungry," said Ms. Dung.
To avoid inspection by authorities, warehouses in La Phu have switched to closed business - only selling to regular customers.
Introducing himself as the owner of a large grocery store, looking for a new source of goods because the supply is temporarily suspended due to inspection, the reporter (PV) is present in La Phu. When asked to buy fruit juice products and candy for sale to stores at school gates, we went to a wholesale store of these products in La Phu.
"My family has processed a lot, almost every brand has it but the goods cannot issue invoices. I bought it and had to take care of it myself. If I agreed, I would sell it to the warehouse. My family had a factory here. I was assured that the processing was delicious but the food was not toxic, I was afraid," said the owner of a candy wholesale warehouse in La Phu.
Production waits for inspection
According to a company specializing in processing jelly and candy in Duong Lieu (Hoai Duc, Hanoi), in recent days, this unit has switched from daytime to night production to avoid inspection by authorities.
"My family had to switch production hours to night instead of working from 8am to 5pm, now my family has moved to work from 8pm to 4am. Because the warehouse is processed, there are not enough documents and many problems are not guaranteed, so we have to do so," said Huong - owner of a candy and jelly processing company in Duong Lieu.
Because of the great profit for producers, for a long time, processing facilities in La Phu and Duong Lieu (Hoai Duc district, Hanoi) have been a reliable import address for many wholesalers.
"Candy, bim bim, and instant noodles of all kinds are all processed in Duong Lieu and then brought to La Phu to sell everywhere. Even counterfeit capitals like Tho Tang (Vinh Phuc) have to import and resell to customers. Here, if you want to buy or order from any brand, the price is only half, trading is profitable, so traders from all over the world come here to import and sell. Except for the red bill, everything here is available," said Thu - owner of a warehouse in La Phu.
