On September 1, Mr. Dang Tho Dan - Head of the Traffic Project Management Department (Dak Lak Province Traffic Construction Investment and Rural Development Project Management Board) - said that contractors on the Khanh Hoa - Buon Ma Thuot Expressway are speeding up the construction progress of Component Project 3 right during the National Day holiday on September 2.
According to Mr. Dan, the construction progress and disbursement of public investment capital of the project are currently quite slow, not meeting the set requirements. Therefore, the investor has urged and requested contractors to take advantage of the time to speed up the construction progress.
Component project 3 has a route length of more than 48km, with a total investment of more than VND 6,165 billion. Of which, the construction package alone accounts for more than VND 4,216 billion.
By early September 2025, the authorities had disbursed VND 2,908.38 billion, reaching 68.9% of the contract value, 30.41% behind schedule.
Actual records at Component Project 3 (Khanh Hoa - Buon Ma Thuot Expressway) show that there are currently about 755 personnel working at the construction site, with 462 equipment and materials allocated to 41 construction teams.
Mr. Tran Cong An (worker at Construction Corporation No. 1 - CC1) said: "We are in charge of the construction of package No. 3 at the project. During the National Day holiday on September 2, all workers did not return to their hometowns to visit their families but stayed at the construction site to continue working".
According to Mr. An, from August 30 to now, workers are working under the 3-shift, 4-shift plan, urgently deploying the roadbed construction teams day and night.
Although tired, with the encouragement of the construction site commander, the brothers were determined to work to ensure the construction progress and disbursement in accordance with the commitment to the investor.
Mr. Dang Tho Dan - Head of Traffic Project Management Department - emphasized: "Faced with unfavorable weather conditions, we have requested contractors to be flexible with options to ensure construction progress".
According to Mr. Dan, for package 1, contractor Son Hai is increasing labor, machinery, and equipment to complete the service road and drainage system.
For package No. 2, Tan Nam contractor is taking advantage of favorable weather to speed up the construction progress of crushed stone aggregate, reinforcing cement and asphalt concrete, completing the construction of bridges on the route.
"The investor's goal is that by December 31, 2025, the entire Component Project 3 must complete the construction plan and disburse capital according to the set schedule.
Contractors, in addition to racing against time, need to construct according to the original drawings and designs, ensuring quality when accepting," Mr. Dan added.
