In the afternoon and night of October 10, due to floods from the northwestern communes and wards of Bac Ninh province, Lo residential group, residential group 1, 2 (Da Mai ward) where hundreds of households were deeply flooded.
In the face of an emergency situation, nearly 200 officers and soldiers of the armed forces of Bac Ninh province were mobilized to rescue and bring people to safety.



Also on October 10, due to the impact of prolonged heavy rain, the water level of the Thuong River suddenly rose, in the dike area in My Thai commune, Bac Ninh province, water seepage and leakage appeared, posing a potential risk of landslides and dike breaks, directly threatening people's lives and property.
In that situation, the Criminal Enforcement and Judicial Support Police force, Bac Ninh Provincial Police established an emergency rescue team consisting of 33 officers and soldiers, coordinating with My Thai Commune Police, the Army and local people to urgently deploy rescue measures: building bamboo stakes, building sandbags, reinforcing the dike body, not afraid of heavy rain and mud.

By the morning of October 11, thanks to timely direction and urgent spirit, the responsibility of the forces, the My Thai commune dyke has been reinforced, preventing the risk of dike breaches, contributing to protecting the safety of thousands of households and crop areas in the commune.
According to the report of the Department of Agriculture and Environment of Bac Ninh province, as of 10:00 a.m. on October 11, the whole province of Bac Ninh still has 70 villages, neighborhoods, and residential groups in the communes and wards: Tien Luc, My Thai, Da Mai, Lang Giang, Viet Yen, Van Ha, Hop Thinh, Hiep Hoa, Dong Ky, Yen The, Bo Ha, Kinh Bac, Tam Giang with about 11,750 households still isolated by floodwaters or having to use boats and rafts to access.
Currently, flood water on riverbanks is receding. However, it is still at a high level, posing a high risk of landslides, slides, and overflows.
Along with ensuring necessities, food quantities, and food for people in isolated areas, the Civil Defense Command of Bac Ninh province requires the civil defense commands of communes and wards along the river to continue to implement the patrol regime, proactively detect and handle incidents of dykes and irrigation works according to regulations.
At the same time, focus on directing the urgent overcoming of damage caused by rain and floods, quickly stabilizing the lives of households.
