On the afternoon of March 3, Hau Giang Provincial Party Committee held a conference to review the work of reorganizing the apparatus and cadres in the spirit of Resolution No. 18 of the 12th Party Central Committee.
The conference was attended by Provincial Party Secretary Dong Van Thanh, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Nguyen Tuan Anh and Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Tran Van Huyen.
Implementing the Central Government's policy, Hau Giang has issued a detailed plan to implement the arrangement and streamlining of the apparatus of agencies and units in the political system. After 2 months of rapid implementation, with the motto "running and lining up at the same time", the province has completed the arrangement according to the direction of the Central Government, and proactively streamlined the apparatus beyond the orientation contents.
As a result, Hau Giang has achieved impressive numbers. For the provincial level, reduce 10 party organizations, 1 agency and 2 departments under the Provincial Party Committee, 6 specialized agencies under the Provincial People's Committee, 9 department units and 16 specialized departments. For the district level, reduce 8 advisory and support agencies and 8 specialized agencies under the district-level People's Committees.
Speaking at the conference, Provincial Party Secretary Dong Van Thanh highly appreciated the efforts of relevant units, especially the Provincial Party Committee's Organization Committee and the Department of Home Affairs, in advising, directing and handling arising issues. He emphasized that the spirit of "The Central does not wait for localities, the province does not wait for districts, the district does not wait for the grassroots" has been seriously implemented.
In the coming time, Mr. Dong Van Thanh requested Party committees at all levels to continue studying Plan No. 316 of the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee on the orientation for implementing the arrangement and streamlining of the apparatus of agencies and units in the political system of Hau Giang province, focusing on directing the arrangement and streamlining of the apparatus outside the Central's orientation; proactively reviewing and proposing solutions suitable to the practical situation of the locality.
Hau Giang province also associated this with the preparation and implementation of Conclusion No. 127 of the Politburo and the Secretariat on continuing to reorganize the apparatus.
In order to recognize outstanding contributions, on this occasion, the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee awarded certificates of merit to 6 collectives and 61 individuals with outstanding achievements in the work of reorganizing the apparatus and cadres in the spirit of Resolution No. 18 of the 12th Party Central Committee.
